Il Gatti (The Cats), is the first known deck with a cat theme.
It has 22 cards - the Major Arcana only. This is a reproduction deck from 2021. Each beautifully illustrated by Evelyn Nicod in 1990 deck for Menegazzi in Milan. Il Meneghello collaborated as the publisher. Menegazzi and Meneghello are well known for producing high-quality decks that are meticulously designed, and frequently handcrafted. This is part of a Limited Edition of 1000 – it is deck # 145.
Nicod’s pen & ink illustrations are beautifully executed in black on small cards printed on heavy cream paper with a laid finish, the back of the cards are blank. The limited text on the insert card and the card titles are all in Italian. The deck is packaged in a beautifully decorated box. There is an additional card with limited edition information.
