Antique glass compote with lid; covered candy dish
I believe this to be a Daisy & Button pattern by Adams Glass Company. Made around 1886
It’s large & heavy
The glass is a violet, lavender color. This is due to a reaction of the manganese, within the glass, being exposed to the sun.
Approximately 11” high by 6.5” at widest
When using a blacklight, the edges glow green. I believe that shows that it was made from some uranium, radioactive material (harmless in small doses)
Rare to find one this size with the covered lid
