This antique set of bone china dinnerware by August Prahst includes a sugar bowl and two cups, all in a classic white color with tiny vining purple flowers. The flowers could be Forget me nots. Or violets.
The set is elegantly crafted and of high-quality, making it a great addition to any collection. The maker, August Prahst, produced fine bone china in Eimsbuttel, Hamburg, Germany. The other markings state PATRIA J.Z. CO. Along with gold #'s 3843, which is the same 4 #'s on each piece.
I couldn't find anything on this person or this China.
The cups are perfect, and the sugar bowl itself is fine. The lid, however, has been repaired. It was broken into about 4 pieces and glued back together.
The sugar bowl measures about 4.25" tall x 5 " wide x 4" long.
The cups measure 2" tall x 4.25" wide x 3.25" long.
