I believe it is made of oak wood.

With its classic design and historical significance, this sewing machine parts box serves as a charming addition to any vintage collection or as a functional storage solution for sewing machine accessories.
Inside bottom and top lid is lined with a velvet or velvet feeling padded material in what I would call Burgundy color.
All hardware appears to be original and the box opens and latches smoothly.
This box has been tucked away in a dresser from grandma's for many many years and although I'm unsure of exact age I believe it is pre 1930
the button to open it looks to be wooden on the front and a metal latch behind as well as 2 metal hinges with 4 screws in each hinge.
Overall I would say good condition for its age, there are some surface marks or discoloration in some areas and some nicks in the wood on a couple corners
Could use a thorough cleaning but I would prefe
