Circa 1950’s HAR Signed Ruby Red Glass Bronze Tone Brooch. Faceted and striking red glass on a flower shaped, cut out, slightly domed setting. Brooch has a lovely textured, antiqued finish. It measures 2” across. Tight working pin, in excellent condition. Signed HAR (1955-1967), Hargo Creations, NY. In excellent condition.
Hargo Creations, also known as HAR was founded in 1955 by Joseph Heibronner and Edith Levitt in New York. They are known for producing costume jewelry with a focus on unique and exotic themes. The "HAR" mark was probably used beginning in 1955 to 1957 and some pieces of HAR jewelry are among the most sought after by collectors.
