The Pilot DP500 is Pilot's last gold nib desk pen, and a fountain pen that utilizes parts from the last Elite series. This model was discontinued with regret in 2016, but it still enjoys strong popularity, especially among collectors.
The writing feel is smooth, with an exquisite nib that has a soft and flexible feel. The weight balance of the shaft is also excellent, and I believe it is a complete desk pen.
