This is an interesting piece of artwork that is also practical. The Tulip shape features a bulbous body with an inward curve at the top. This design is perfect for aromatic beers like Belgian ales, saisons, sours, IPAs, and strong ales. It allows the drinker to cradle the glass in their hand and warm the beer releasing the aromatic flavors in a concentrated way.
This glass is part of a series of artist designs for the Duvel Brewing Company of Belgium. Both the Duvel name and the name of the British design team of Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, appear as part of the design on the glass.
