Hardcover edition of Jade City by Fonda Lee (Orbit, 2017). I’m at a bit of a loss with this edition. The copyright page states “First Edition” however, there is no number line, no price on front liner flap and the boards are wrapped in a different material than I’m used to. Also, there is a barcode printed on both the rear board and back of jacket. Other listings online that I’ve seen have the same material boards and some have number lines and some don’t - all claim first edition, no surprise there. It’s a full-sized hardcover and the jacket material and board wraps feel much higher quality than what I would expect from a book club edition, so I’m hesitant to say it’s a BCE. Either way, I can’t seem to find any information about this edition online anywhere, so take that and all photos into consideration. Regardless, this edition is quite scarce. A very clean copy with mild shelf wear and slightly curved text block. All pages clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
