Ghostly beings occupy the streets outside Nordstrom and the Monorail. In a series started in 1992, Jon Strongbow's detailed black and white line drawings with colors of Seattle cityscapes juxtapose realistic architectural renderings with scenes embracing indigenous cultures from all over the planet, including extinct and endangered species. Though he didn't set out to record the city's changing landscape, these drawings also inadvertently document the disappearing places of Seattle.
Downtown 5th Ave, Nordstrom, Monorail stop; ghost of old Northwest Coastal chief; huge Eramasaurus swimming/flying above city.
This was inspired by one of Chief Seattles writings, where he said, If you have eyes to see them, my people still walk in the streets among you.
2020. This listing is for one 8" x 10" print on laser paper, so it has a smoothness and a little sheen, with a foam core backing and clear plastic envelope to protect the print. It is a standard size and will pop into an 8x10 frame.
