Along with Winnie the Pooh and their other friends in the Hundred Acre Wood, Kanga and Roo were inspired by stuffed toys owned by A.A. Milne’s son. Like any mother, Kanga is doting and always looks out for her son’s best interests. Roo, an adventurous young joey, is more than often a handful. In his enthusiasm and excitement about the world, Roo loves to explore and often gets himself in messy situations—sometimes literally. On the front of this backpack, in beautiful illustration, Kanga lovingly bathes Roo in a tub overflowing with appliqué bubbles, printed & embroidery detail. In fact, the bubbles are actually hiding the front zipper compartment! With bubbles crowning his head, Roo looks up at Kanga as she points at a heart-shaped bubble rising from the tub. Turn the bag over and you’ll find Winnie the Pooh encased in a bubble along with Tigger and Piglet!
