Mid-century green & black velvet rhinestone and bead Turban hat with its original hat box.
This gorgeous Turban hat was expertly handcrafted in the 1950s by The Robbins in St. Louis, Missouri and acquired from the estate of a very chic woman! The Turban hat style brought the turban to the forefront of popular culture in the Mid-20th century when actresses like Greta Garbo, Gloria Swanson, and Marlene Dietrich wore them in films and in their personal lives, This lovely example is made of black velvet with a dark green abstract pattern and decorated with pretty iridescent rhinestones and unique black beads. Not only does this hat come with its original hat box, it includes the original price tag indicating that it was likely never worn. Keep this darling set for your own personal collection or gift it to a lover of Old Hollywood glamor!
