There is a crack in the top right corner of the system, which is stressed whenever the console is opened up from clamshell closed. If you hold the top right corner when opening the console, it is sufficient to prevent further damage. The hinge works fine as is, but will most likely quickly deteriorate upon re-exerted stress on that shoulder.
