Rare/limited 1981 1st Edition "mistake" version of the iconic General Lee by Ertl. Car is in excellent condition for its age - displays great! No box included.
The 1st edition versions of General Lee were quickly stopped due to multiple mistakes/inaccuracies. How many 1st editions were made before production was halted is unknown, which contributes to its rarity. Haven't seen any other models anywhere with the "072069" Florida license plates.
The 1st edition General Lee has black General a black interior, Florida license plates "072069," and R/T lettering on the tail panel.
Ertl, realizing their mistakes corrected the rest of the versions to have blue General Lee lettering, tan interior, CNH 320 license plates, and removed the R/T lettering from the tail panel.
