Schott, with its history in leather jackets, collaborated with KANATA, a long-established Cowichan sweater brand, to create this low-gauge knit. The front features button closures, using buttons inspired by conchos, which are the most famous and profound elements of Native American (Indian) jewelry. The woven patterns of Cowichan sweaters originate from Fair Isle knitting, which is characterized by geometric patterns.
