Emerson Elkhart Indiana open hole (model 3) SN D02972 plays from top to bottom but would absolutely benefit from a service. The thumb b flat requires more pressure than should be necessary (traditional b flat fingering works fine). Low notes would be stronger with a service. Beautiful tone and core.
Emerson USA (model 1) SN B52097 also plays from top to bottom with very weak low C. A service is needed to bring it to top playing condition. Another beautiful tone and core. My experience with these Emerson flutes is that each truly has its own voice.
