This gold plated metal necklace is composed of many individual links making this choker lay well around your neck. Each link measures .5 and .25 inch each. The cast links are open work filigree textured and smooth clover shapes. It is a substantial, gold plated necklace and weighty. The plating is still in excellent condition with Avon stamped on the hook clasp. It has rarely been worn. There are no signs of any wear on it.
This metal necklace is circa 1950 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time, Avon. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores & usually made in Europe or the United States. This era was the last with enduring high quality products.
