Vintage 1950s Ceramic Arts Studio Harlequin Maurice Michele Shelf Sitters Madison Wisconsin Pair Set of Two
The Ceramic Arts Studio of Madison (CAS) was a small pottery that operated out of what was once a garage and a candy store, with the simplest kind of homemade machinery. They produced decorative figurines such as this set of shelf sitters from 1942 until its closing in 1956.
This pair has a left and right and are named "Maurice" and "Michele" as noted on the underside. They are a light green with details in a darker green. They hang over the edge of shelf and are altogether fabulous!
They measure approximately 7 "- '8" tall and about 4" - 5" wide.
Condition: Excellent pre-owned condition with no known flaws or damage. Vintage and pre-owned items may have slight imperfections or signs of light use. Anything major that compromises the value or integrity of the piece will be listed.
