This vintage ring features a natural amethyst stone, which is oval-shaped and has a light purple hue. The amethyst is carved with a detailed scarab motif or flower motif. Honestly, I am unsure which. I have owned this ring for many years and it more than likely is 1970’s. The stone is set in a sterling silver band with a four-prong setting, and the ring has a total weight of 8.5 grams and is a size 5.5.
Measurements are .59”L x .44”W x .41”D and has a 2.8mm band width. It is in very good used condition with very minor wear on the band. There may be other scuffs I don’t see. The ring does not have markings which is typical of many vintage rings but has tested for sterling. It has been cleaned but barely needed it since all of my personal jewelry is stored in an anti-tarnish environment. (Personal choice).
