A strikingly beautiful vintage miniature vaseline glass Hen on Nest (Hen on Basket) produced by Mosser Glass in Cambridge, Ohio. Authentic Mosser Item #230 mold (first introduced in 1987) featuring a split-tail hen and a detailed basketweave base. Originally designed as an individual salt cellar or miniature trinket dish. This piece is crafted from genuine uranium glass with a striking green opalescent finish on the ends. Contains uranium oxide; glows a vivid neon green under a blacklight (365nm/395nm).
Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. The glass is clear and the opalescence is well-defined. Unmarked, common with Mosser Glass.
