Absolutely stunning aqua and lime green colored crystal rhinestone brooch by Weiss. A few have open back setting to let the light shine through. Signed Weiss on the back. It’s slightly over 2”x2” and in great condition.
Albert Weiss, who previously worked for Coro and Marvella Jewelry, founded the company in 1942, and it operated until 1971. Weiss jewelry is well known for its high quality craftsmanship and colored crystals used in the jewelry. It is documented that Albert Weiss travelled to Europe to purchase rhinestones and Swarovski crystals for his designs. Many Weiss pieces are just as beautiful today as they were in the 1950’s -1960’s when they were produced. This brooch would be a wonderful addition for any collection.
