Vintage — possibly antique — ornate footed powder dish with hinged mirrored lid & tray insert. Extremely rare. OOAK! Can’t find this piece anywhere online. Heavy, quality, solid cast brass.
Details on this piece are absolutely stunning, especially the main attraction: a large peacock at top center.
Hinges open to reveal a mirror & white plastic well for powder, at one time. Tray fits snugly & pops out for cleaning.
Would make for a beautiful jewelry dish, office supply/paper clip reservoir, trinket tray, etc. Or just a lovely standalone conversation piece.
In fabulous condition for age! No broken or cracked parts; box hinge works beautifully. Mirror has some marks. Surface scratches and light marks inside white insert indicative of normal use; underside of white insert has some markings too. Please see all pics for closeups.
Brass shows killer patina that only age and time can deliver!
