VTG Imperial Glass Candlewick Oval Divided S-Swirl Relish Serving Dish w Handles. Timeless!
This elegant glassware pattern was first introduced in 1936 and remained a popular line until Imperial Glass closed in 1984 and was based in Bellaire, Ohio.
The Candlewick pattern, known for its distinctive rim of small, applied glass beads. The name was inspired by the embroidery stitching popular in the mid-20th century.
It is an oval dish with a curved center divider, typically referred to as a relish, nut, or serving dish. It often includes small "tab" handles on the shorter sides, as seen in the image.
The original pieces were handcrafted, hand-blown glass, a production style known as "elegant glass".
