Rare large colorful satsuma style moriage white porcelain elephant figurine. The large elephant, adorned with a basket of flowers, pulls a cart filled with gold. Its raised trunk signals good luck and the gold portends prosperity. 2 smaller elephants trail the cart in celebration.
Base of figure is 12 inches long. Figure itself is almost 18 inches long, 12 inches tall, and 5 inches wide.
Condition is very good. A couple of spots of gold have rubbing and there are two small chips on the gold in the cart - see photos.
